Michael Decay
Michael Decay is the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto and unites Franklin and Trevor on their initial heist together. A mobster who has worked his way to power, Michael Decay still finds his life far from perfect; his daughter can’t get her act together while his son spends all his time playing video games; additionally his wife just doesn’t seem satisfied with him as her life partner.
Michael Norton is a man seeking to settle down and start a family, yet his past keeps coming back to haunt him. Trevor Weston
Trevor Philips Enterprises represents the more aggressive, risk-taking side of GTA players. A former military pilot who now resides in Sandy Shores and runs their illegal business, Trevor Philips Enterprises is run illegally. After finding out his old dead best friend Michael has survived after all this time, Trevor becomes obsessed with tracking him down and getting him involved back into their criminal lifestyle they once shared together.
Lester may be an expert heist mastermind, yet his intelligence leaves much to be desired. Still, he assists Trevor and Franklin in planning several heists for Devin Weston.
Lamar Davis is one of Franklin’s primary mission givers early on in the game. A member of Families street gang, Lamar is a crazy individual who flips off cops while loving his pet rottweiler Chop. However, Lamar and Franklin often clash ideologically which leads to many heated arguments between them – not forgetting he’s also an alcoholic who justifies violence as means to an end.
Frank Weston
Franklin Weston is a young man from an impoverished neighborhood who sees criminality as his only way out of their current circumstances. Like CJ in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and other Rockstar games’ protagonists, Franklin comes from an unfortunate background and seeks out criminality as an escape. Like CJ from GTA San Andreas and other Rockstar game protagonists, Franklin sees crime as an escape route and rises up through its ranks within their chosen industry.
Franklin first found success as a repossession agent with Premium Deluxe Motorsport, where he worked alongside Lamar Davis. However, their ideals differ dramatically and disagreements often escalate into arguments which force Franklin out of his comfort zone.
At this time, he meets Michael DeSanta, another former street gangster trying to live a normal life. They become fast friends and begin pulling off heists together – eventually recruiting several additional members into their crew including an unscrupulous loan shark and Mexican drug lord named Martin Madrazo.
Jimmy Weston
Jimmy Weston has an affinity for wheels; from customizing them to building and buying them. Additionally, he enjoys telling stories involving wheels – often with an elaborate buildup and amusing conclusion.
As Franklin’s sidekick, Lamar Davis is a colorful character who can easily flip off cops while showing his devotion for Chop, his rottweiler companion. Lamar appeals to players who appreciate criminal culture while appreciating Rockstar’s antics.
Devin Weston is a powerful businessman in Southern San Andreas with stakes in several businesses such as Merryweather Security. In addition to running blackmail rackets and bribing law enforcement officials such as FIB agent Dave Norton and corrupt Steve Haines to carry out his wishes, including blackmail rackets. Over time he enlists Michael Trevor Franklin on his payroll; eventually Lester Crest handles their heist missions; yet is eventually betrayed by Weston himself and ends up dead as well.
